Job Summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers in clinics and physician offices
  • Prepare patients for visits by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, and prepping for exams
  • Assist with medical procedures, blood draws, vaccinations, and injections
  • Support patient scheduling, referrals, insurance, pre-authorizations, and billing
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program approved by Munson Healthcare
  • Or, 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare provider/patient support setting
Credentials
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Health career Association
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCTT) by the National Center for Competency Testing
  • Certified Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) by the American Medical Certification Association
