As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill adults, working closely with our critical-care physician partners, residents, advanced practice providers, and ancillary team members to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform initial assessments upon patient admission and develop appropriate plans of care in accordance with unit standards and patient and family needs.
- Implement plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures, modifying them based on continuous evaluation.
- Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to resolve issues and expand knowledge.
- Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies and ensure good communication with patients/family by utilizing meaningful hourly rounding, bedside report, and whiteboards.
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in Illinois upon hire.
- College Diploma in Nursing.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
