Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer

LightEdge Solutions is a leading provider of IT solutions, empowering businesses to propel forward in the next decade. We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for supporting our customers who utilize the AWS platform. This includes implementing custom solutions, documenting and executing maintenance windows, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support existing AWS environments, monitoring health, and providing maximum system performance.
  • Implement and validate monitoring in deployments.
  • Evaluate customer needs, troubleshoot, and formulate capacity planning and performance recommendations.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to calls from the Connectria Command Center.
  • Respond to customer support calls, manage incidents, and resolve issues through troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate issues, utilize problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Document customer interactions in the ticketing system.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned duties expeditiously and within approved windows.
  • Engage with AWS Support on behalf of Connectria customers as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Stay abreast of latest AWS offerings and make recommendations to leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
  • At least 6 months to 2 years' experience with AWS development and systems administration.
  • Possess at least one current AWS Certification.
  • Strong preference for applicants with experience or certification in Kubernetes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of AWS, including AWS Command Line (CLI), current AWS product offerings and services, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with one or more scripting or programming languages.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
