We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at SciTec, a dynamic small business delivering advanced sensor data processing technologies and scientific instrumentation capabilities in support of National Security and Defense.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288 standards
- Mentor and guide other team members in systems engineering processes and methodologies
- Coordinate with customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery
- Design and model systems architectures for remote sensor data processing systems, utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques
- Manage and lead systems engineering staff and contractors, working closely with the SciTec program management team
- Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance
- At least 10 years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, or remote sensing
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on MBSE
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Domain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, particularly with OPIR sensor processing
- Experience supporting systems engineering programs in the defense and aerospace fields
- Additional professional experience in systems engineering beyond 5 years
- Familiarity with the Cameo/MagicDraw family of tools
- Experience with Agile software development methods
- Demonstrated experience in program management and project leadership, with a focus on Earned Value Management

The pay range for this position is $131,000 - $181,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
