Farm Laborer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Farm Laborer to join our team at The Growers Company, Inc. as a Crop Harvesting Specialist. This role involves working in a fast-paced agricultural environment, harvesting a variety of crops, and performing general farm labor tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Harvest iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, mix lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, bunching items, and celery both organic and conventional
- Perform pre-harvest labor, irrigation, transplanting, and tractor driving tasks
- Work in variable weather conditions, including dust, extreme temperatures, and humidity
- Meet food safety standards and follow Generally Accepted Practices (GAP)
- Work in uneven fields and adapt to changing conditions
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 month of agricultural experience working in diversified crops
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Verifiable work experience required
Working Conditions:
Workers will be expected to work in conditions normally associated with uneven fields, the California and Arizona climate. These conditions include dust, extremes of temperature and humidity, wind, and at times exposure to high levels of pollen. Workers should wear clothing suited to these conditions, including closed-toe shoes, hats, gloves, protective sleeves, and jackets that will provide adequate protection and allow freedom of movement.
