- Collaborate with commercial functions to collect and provide the best available knowledge on fundamental drivers, including supply and demand curves, grid capacity, and regulatory changes.
- Drive the team to think creatively and develop innovative trading strategies from a fundamental and market analytics perspective.
- Ensure the DAYZER model is refined and updated, with scenarios developed and model runs performed on a daily basis.
- Automate model input updates and process model results to provide decision-oriented support for trading decisions.
- Evaluate external studies and forecasts to inform long-term market views for strategic projects and general valuations.
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the electricity market in a commercial environment, with leadership experience.
- Strong conceptual understanding of electricity markets, including security-constrained economic dispatch and unit-commitment.
- Experience in fundamental modeling, particularly production cost modeling for electricity markets.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with ability to transfer algorithms into model conduct.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to transfer knowledge between analysis and decision makers.
- Language skills: business fluent in English.
RWE Supply & Trading is the interface between RWE and the energy markets around the world. We trade electricity, gas, commodities, and CO2 emission allowances, and ensure the commercial optimization of RWE's power plant dispatch and markets electricity from RWE.
