Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pet Care Associate to join our team at Destination Pet LLC. As an integral part of our pack, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our furry guests.

About the Role

This is an entry-level position that requires a passion for animal care and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the well-being and happiness of our pet guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitizing and disinfecting pet enclosures and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Providing clean bedding and ensuring pet guests have access to fresh water at all times.
  • Preparing and serving meals to our pet guests while maintaining cleanliness of food preparation areas.
  • Monitoring and accurately recording consumption and elimination patterns for every pet guest.
  • Visually checking pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.
  • Supervising group play activities for dogs and individual activities for pet guests as needed.
  • Assisting with bathing and brushing of canine guests as required.
  • Removing waste from enclosures and other areas as needed.
  • Managing pet belongings, cleaning them as needed, and returning them to owners.
  • Daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong passion for animal care and welfare.
  • Previous experience in professional animal care or kennel management is preferred.
  • The ability to display a professional manner at all times.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The physical stamina to lift 40 pounds frequently.
  • The ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs regularly.
  • Comfort handling dogs on leashes.
  • An understanding of and compliance with animal health and safety protocols.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $14.50 (based on experience) and a range of benefits including part-time health insurance, mental health support, and telehealth services.
