About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at AvitaCare Atlanta. As a key member of our primary and specialty care team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to our patients, focusing on holistic wellness and collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing in-person and telemedicine psychiatric evaluations
  • Assessing and diagnosing mental disorders, ensuring biological aspects are addressed
  • Treating behavioral health diagnoses, including medication management
  • Consulting and referring patients for improved behavioral health outcomes
  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, including Primary Care Providers, Infectious Disease and HIV Care Providers, Social Workers, Care Managers, Pharmacists, and other allied professionals
  • Developing comprehensive individualized care plans through shared decision-making
  • Providing psychiatric medical expertise and curbside consultations
  • Supporting patients, family, and staff with mental health and medical information
  • Supervising the behavioral health team, including programmatic development and evaluating outcome measures and KPIs
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Active Georgia APRN license
  • Active DEA registration
  • Certifications and experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in primary care or managing chronic medical conditions
  • Experience in a psychiatric setting and 2-3 years of psychiatric prescribing practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to promote optimal patient care
