Financial Crimes Technology Developer

About the Opportunity:
We're seeking a talented Teradata Developer to join our client's team in the financial industry, based in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. This 12+ month contract position offers an exciting chance to work on complex projects, contribute to business growth, and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology to meet business objectives
- Collaborate with business partners to define requirements for system applications, utilizing in-depth knowledge of business requirements, environments, and technological alternatives
- Provide insight and direction from a data perspective, assessing impact on technology systems, and participating in the full development lifecycle of capabilities being delivered
- Estimate work necessary to realize stories/requirements through the delivery lifecycle, and perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, working closely with Production Support teams, Platform teams, and Business Partners
- Collaborate with Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followed, promoting and applying best practices and standards at project and program levels
- Partner with the business to develop plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain change, and analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation
Requirements:
- 10+ years of applicable experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline
- Demonstrated data sourcing, analysis, and modeling skills, with the ability to build innovative data provisioning models to support large-scale financial crimes data sourcing initiatives
- Experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys, Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala), and data analysis
- Strong data sourcing, modeling, and provisioning skills related to supporting large-scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assets
- Executed database-intensive development, data migrations, and conversions
- Knowledge and experience working with SQL performance tuning
- A person who can handle design/build, hands-on development, and coordination of development in distributed environments
- Good experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management (CICD) - Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible
- Knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts
- Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes
- Effective communication and listening skills
Estimated Salary: $58.26-$66.26 per hour
