Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse with advanced telemetry skills to join our team at Rumford Hospital. As a key member of our Special Care Unit (SCU), you will be responsible for managing dysrhythmias and interpreting telemetry data to provide high-quality patient care.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with our ED physician, nursing supervisor, and respiratory therapy team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing dysrhythmias and interpreting telemetry data to inform patient care decisions
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Providing education and support to patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and self-management
  • Participating in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in critical care settings, particularly with patients requiring ventilator support
  • Advanced knowledge of telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification

Salary

The salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Others

This is a 3x12 Nights shift position with no call requirement. Travelers will float to a medsurg assignment if no SCU level patient is on unit, with weekends off every third week.
