Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Meat Cutter at KJ's Market, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing products for sale, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide polite and friendly service to guests, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Product Preparation: Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to company standards.
  • Inventory Management: Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Special Requests: Provide special customer service requests, such as special cuts, slicing, and other services as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in the cooler, sales, and prep areas.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality, fresh, and properly dated products are available for sale.
  • Communication: Communicate temperature failures to supervisors and announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
  • Receiving and Storage: Assist in product receiving and storage, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
Requirements:
  • Personality: Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly, as well as bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Experience: Previous meat cutting experience and meat cutting skill test qualifications.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Environment: Ability to work in a cold environment.
