Relief Pharmacist

Covetrus is seeking a highly skilled Relief Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications to our veterinary clients.

• Medication Coordination: Review and interpret veterinary orders to ensure accuracy and prevent potential medication errors.
• Prescription Dispensing: Dispense prescriptions to pets in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and verify the work performed by support personnel.
• Professional Development: Participate in in-service education programs, attend meetings and seminars, and maintain current knowledge of the profession.

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Degree in Pharmacy.
• Experience: 6-12 months of experience in a veterinary pharmacy setting.
• Certifications: Must be a Licensed Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the state of Texas and other states as required.

• Customer Focus: Provide excellent customer service to veterinary clients and support personnel.
• Ethical Conduct: Demonstrate high ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
• Critical Thinking: Use logic and reasoning to identify and resolve potential medication errors.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure seamless medication distribution.

The Relief Pharmacist will work in a normal office environment with extensive use of computer systems. The ideal candidate will be able to lift/carry or push/pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and have the energy and physical stamina to move freely about the pharmacy.
