Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role at the Good Samaritan Society is a rewarding position that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a CNA, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate and personalized care to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing emotional support and encouragement to our residents.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
  • Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
  • Provide range of motion and passive exercises to maintain resident mobility and flexibility
  • Assist with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident concerns and care-related issues to the charge nurse
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits
