Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff by providing administrative and clinical assistance. This includes preparing patients for examinations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient information, recording medical history and confirming the purpose of visit
- Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature
- Prioritize infection control practices, using sterile technique as appropriate
- Draw and collect blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality
- Reinforce physician's orders and answer questions regarding visit
Requirements
- Candidate should be willing to float to all locations on an as-needed basis
- Requires a high school diploma and Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to type 40+ wpm and have experience with healthcare software
- Phlebotomy license (preferred)
