Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians and physician assistants with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
• Prepare patients for visits, including taking vital signs, height and weight measurements, and documenting findings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including census records and quality data.
• Participate in quality assurance monitoring and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks, including billing and follow-up of patient accounts.
Requirements:
• High school degree or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program required; MA certification preferred.
• Experience working in a hospital or medical office environment preferred.
• Medical Assisting Certification preferred; CPR certification required.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position in a pleasant office setting. The job requires standing, sitting, and walking most of the day, with moderate stress levels due to the corporate environment.
