About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Memorial Medical Center. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and technologies in perioperative care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in New Mexico or compact license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification preferred.
  • Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
