Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Meeting Planning Specialist to join our team, responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing assigned program initiatives for one or more of our scientific conferences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meeting planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with volunteers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with program committee members to develop and execute meeting plans, including calendar, deadlines, content development, speaker and abstract submission & review
* Manage the program planning committee, driving committee to desired program outcomes, providing follow-up, scheduling, and communications to approved speakers
* Oversee the committee assignments for peer review of abstracts, speakers, and moderators, implementing the submission process, recruitment of graders, grading, acceptance/rejection notifications, and exports of data for publication
* Develop, prepare, and distribute correspondence to participants in preparation for the meeting and communication process for presentations, slides, data etc., to all necessary parties involved, including Communications/News Media

What You'll Need
* Bachelor's Degree in Education, Science, or related area
* Minimum of two years of experience developing meeting content or educational programming, working with and engaging volunteers and volunteer committees, reviewing and facilitating speaker submissions and peer review process, proficient with Microsoft Office applications, strong writing and presentation skills

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 per year, based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.
