About the Role

Berman Hopkins CPAs & Associates, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Associate Auditor to join our Audit Team. As an Associate Auditor, you will perform a variety of basic auditing tasks utilizing client records and other pertinent materials. Responsibilities
  • Perform and complete procedures on audit programs and prepare work papers to support tasks performed.
  • Compare data contained in a variety of financial records in order to detect trends, errors, anomalies or problems.
  • Make recommendations for improving internal controls.
  • Complete required schedules, account analyses, worksheets, and projects.
  • Communicate with clients on related tasks under direct supervision.
  • Prepare and present written and oral reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Working on or have completed requirements for CPA license.
  • Preferably 0-2 years of experience in auditing.
  • Understanding of basic principles, practices, methods and theories of auditing standards and accounting standards.
  • Basic knowledge of laws, ordinances, regulations and statutes which govern audit functions.
