Job Overview

The Senior Equipment Reconditioning Specialist is responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction by effectively preparing all cold beverage equipment for installation and ensuring all dispensing systems are set up correctly. This position supports all facets of equipment services to uphold a high standard of customer service and assists the equipment services team in achieving its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment for installation by adhering to established setup protocols, including inspection and configuration of electrical systems, lower and upper cabinets, and inner doors.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, including proper labeling, timer settings, pricing, and installation of locks and asset tags, while making necessary improvements to the equipment.
  • Maintain, service, and repair refrigeration systems in accordance with company procedures, including refrigerant transfer, evacuation, and charging; manage refrigerant leaks and component replacements.
  • Perform high-quality inspections on all equipment to meet customer specifications, including custom graphics and configurations.
  • Execute thorough cleaning, replacement, or repair of components, and install additional items such as LED kits and shelves.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
  • Follow procedures for tracking parts and labor, capturing data on equipment changes using mobile devices, and updating inventory systems.
  • Prepare equipment for installation by addressing surface blemishes and preparing for painting.
  • Mask and paint equipment as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Basic technical, electrical, and troubleshooting knowledge with mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move heavy objects exceeding 100 lbs.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the soft drink industry is preferred.
  • Experience in equipment services is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Hipot systems is a plus.
  • Proficient with tools such as plasma cutters and air tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Successful completion of a fit test is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Refrigeration Level 1 License.
  • Experience with air gun painting.
  • Successful completion of a fit test is required.

The work environment may vary, including exposure to various weather conditions and non-temperature-controlled areas.
