Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will assess patients' needs, develop personalized occupational therapy plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing patients' functional abilities and developing targeted interventions to improve their mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Collaborating with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Documenting patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families on safe home environments, fall prevention, and other relevant topics.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A current license as an Occupational Therapist in Texas.
  • Prior experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
