Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Desert Hills, AZ. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities, developing accurate diagnoses and identifying appropriate treatment needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific goals and needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide therapeutic interventions and set measurable objectives.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to clients, utilizing effective techniques to improve speech clarity, language development, communication effectiveness, and swallowing function.
  • Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies for supporting progress at home, offering guidance on managing communication and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, educators, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Community Engagement: Engage in community outreach and educational activities to raise awareness of speech-language pathology services and support local health initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical, school, or healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong skills in technology, including proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology.
