Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Sonographer to join our team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As a Perinatal Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic medical sonography procedures to patients during all stages of pregnancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound exams during all stages of pregnancy, providing comprehensive care and coordinating with other disciplines and ancillary departments as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of current testing requirements and guidelines, ensuring accurate and efficient patient care.
  • Provide patient education regarding prenatal testing and procedures, ensuring patients are informed and empowered to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Inform patients of anticipated wait times for test results, promoting transparency and open communication.
Requirements
  • 1 year of position-related experience as a Perinatal Sonographer.
  • ARDMS-OB certification.
  • Nuchal translucency required within 6 months of date of hire.
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association.
