Key Responsibilities:


As an LPN, you will undertake a variety of tasks during your shift, including delivering compassionate care and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions.

Establishing trust and rapport with patients and their families is vital in this position.

Collaborating effectively with the facility leadership team, your primary responsibilities will encompass:


Addressing outstanding issues from the previous shift, such as missed or incomplete labs or treatments, incomplete admissions or discharges, and missing data for continuity of care.

Conducting compliance audits related to infection control, including monitoring glucometer usage, refrigerator conditions, sharps containers, laboratory cleanliness, pest control, hand hygiene, and flu vaccination campaigns.
Managing medication storage, returns, destruction, and liaising with pharmacies to resolve medication-related issues.
Ordering supplies, overseeing inventory management, and maintaining an organized supply room.
Monitoring and tracking lab orders, outside consultations, and medical transfers.
Coordinating and planning the admission workflow, ensuring proper labeling of collected samples.
Managing Level of Care transfers in AVATAR.
Performing administrative tasks, such as scanning documents into AVATAR, assisting with work schedules, and supporting Behavioral Health Technicians with observation sheet creation/modification.
Conducting admission and discharge audits, ensuring compliance with nursing procedures as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 7a-7p or 7p-7a | PRN (1-2 shifts/week) or FT (36 hrs/week). Applications are welcome for all shifts/hours.

Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in Practical Nursing or equivalent as per state regulations.
Licensed to practice in the state of employment.
Higher education is preferred.
Two years of experience as an LPN is preferred.
Experience in a behavioral health setting is ideal.
