As a critical member of our Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a key role in the development and optimization of tooling for our production processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and documenting tooling primarily for production use, handling small to medium-sized projects, and supporting day-to-day shop activities under the supervision of experienced engineers.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate and detailed CAD models/drawings to support tool room and manufacturing engineering activities.
  • Propose innovative concepts and solutions to accomplish work order completion.
  • Work with the tool room to process work orders effectively and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tool design procedures and standards.
  • Measure or coordinate measurement of tooling that is undocumented or altered to function properly.
  • Support suppliers and subsidiaries needs associated with Lincoln tooling prints.
  • Identify and resolve safety and ergonomic issues related to various types of tooling.
  • Implement process improvements and optimization using CI principles and tools.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with plastics and injection molding design experience.
  • Proficiency in Solid Edge, Solid Works, or equivalent modeling software.
  • Applicable experience with the use of measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
