Position Overview

Eligible for a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus and a comprehensive benefits package

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated Imaging Specialist to become a valuable member of our team. This is a part-time role, requiring 35 hours per week with a Saturday rotation. The schedule consists of 3 days one week and 4 days the next, with hours from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient Imaging Procedures

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety by using two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure.
  • Prepares and educates patients about the imaging procedures, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for optimal results.
  • Performs both routine and advanced imaging techniques on specified body areas, aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, while minimizing the need for repeat scans and providing support to patients throughout the process.
  • Adjusts imaging parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction strategies when appropriate.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring professionals, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and hygienic, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Operates a Fluoroscopy C-Arm during surgical and outpatient procedures.

(5%) Departmental Support

  • Assists in the upkeep of the imaging protocol manual and manages software updates.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Contributes to the training of new team members, offering guidance and technical support as required.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

Completes other duties as assigned.
