We are seeking a highly skilled individual currently residing in the Virginia, Maryland, or District of Columbia (DC) area, who is prepared to engage in a hybrid work schedule.
The selection process will consist of multiple interview rounds, including initial video conferences and a final in-person meeting.
Eligibility: USC/GC Only
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins to enhance development, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Develop and sustain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
- Deploy, manage, and scale applications leveraging Kubernetes and other container orchestration solutions.
- Utilize cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) for infrastructure and application deployment.
- Automate deployment workflows to ensure efficient and reliable software releases.
- Write and maintain automation scripts in Python or Java.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of solutions.
- Conduct product testing to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application and infrastructure performance.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies to continually enhance our DevOps practices.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar capacity.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD processes using Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Programming capabilities in Python or Java.
- Experience with deployment automation techniques.
- Good understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Familiarity with vCenter API.
- Experience in product testing and quality assurance methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
