Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Choice Hotels. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless stay experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Manage the registration process, verify guest information, and ensure accurate accounting of all rooms.
  • Front Desk Operations: Operate the hotel switchboard, take calls, and provide information and transfer calls as needed.
  • Room Assignments: Provide guests with correct room keys and ensure that guests are satisfied with the rooms allotted to them.
  • Guest Services: Answer queries regarding the hotel's services, charges, dining facilities, sports facilities, and travel directions.
  • Problem Resolution: Refer guests to appropriate departments to resolve complaints or provide suggestions.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Compute bills, take payments, and balance cash at the end of the shift.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Less than high school education; or up to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Internet Software, Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), and Property Management Systems.
