At Prisma Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Lead Primary Care Physician to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. About the Role

The Lead Primary Care Physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance. This includes conducting thorough patient examinations, prescribing medications, and providing consultation and medical and/or surgical treatment to correct and/or treat various conditions, illnesses, and injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on empathy, compassion, and respect for individual needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to inform clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Leading by example, mentoring junior staff, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the department.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient information, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of new protocols and procedures, and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Ensuring adherence to professional standards, codes of conduct, and organizational values, upholding the highest levels of integrity and ethics in all interactions.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited school, with relevant work experience and licensure in the state of South Carolina.
  • Board certification or eligibility in the field of primary care, with current BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
