Job Summary:
MaineGeneral Health is a comprehensive non-profit system dedicated to enhancing the health of our patients, families, and communities. We're seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on 3 West, a fast-paced Med/Surg Post-Operative unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.

The Role:
As a CNA on 3 West, you will provide patient care under the supervision of an RN, ensuring the highest level of care and compassion for our patients. Your responsibilities will include performing basic patient care activities, assisting patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, and maintaining a clean and organized unit and patient rooms.

The Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic CNA to work with a highly skilled team of professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work 30 hours per week on the day shift (7a-7p), with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. The Work:
As a CNA on 3 West, you will be responsible for:

Providing patient care under the supervision of an RN
Assisting patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs
Maintaining a clean and organized unit and patient rooms
Greeting patients and visitors, answering and screening telephone calls, and calling codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested
Reporting abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff

You Have:
State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
Current BLS (American Heart Association)
Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
High School graduate or equivalent (preferred)
Comfortable using a computer
