Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Treat Patients: Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnose medical conditions, and develop effective treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Order and Interpret Lab Tests: Order laboratory tests and interpret results to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Maintain Confidentiality and Impartiality: Maintain the confidentiality and impartiality of patient information at all times.
- Collect and Record Patient Data: Collect, record, and maintain accurate and sensitive patient information, including examination results, medical history, and reports.
- Perform Minor Surgeries: Perform minor surgical procedures as needed to treat patients.
- Communicate with Patients: Explain procedures and prescribed treatments to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Meet Performance Targets: Meet targets set by the government for specified treatments, such as child immunizations.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Medical Developments: Stay current with the latest medical developments, treatments, and medications.
- Medical Degree: Possess a degree in medicine from an accredited institution.
- Residency Experience: Have completed a 5-year residency program in family medicine or a related field.
- State Medical License: Hold a current state medical license and Federal DEA License.
- Residency in Alaska: Be willing to reside in or near Wasilla, Alaska.
- Technical Skills: Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook programs.
- Communication Skills: Possess the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Physical Demands: Be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Lifting and Mobility: Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Visual Requirements: Possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
