Position Overview

Tact Staff is in search of a travel nurse RN specializing in the Operating Room for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
  • Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Shift Length: 12 hours
  • Employment Type: Travel

Shifts may vary, and candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience; first-time travelers are not eligible.

Patient Demographics: Care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

Required Certifications: BLS certification is mandatory.

Skills and Experience: Candidates should possess experience in orthopedic, general, robotic, vascular, gynecological, urological, and gastrointestinal procedures. Familiarity with Da Vinci Xi Robot and Stryker Mako systems is preferred.

Unit Details: The unit typically has 10 operating rooms with an average daily volume of around 40 cases.

Technology Used: Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems is beneficial.

Holiday Requirements: Travelers are expected to work on major holidays as per the assignment schedule.

Scrub Attire: Provided by the facility.

Time Off: Maximum of 7 days allowed.

Weekend Shifts: Required only if on-call.

Floating Policy: Yes, within the department.

Call Requirements: 4-5 call shifts within a 6-week schedule, including weekends.

Compliance: Full compliance is necessary to ensure timely start dates; delays may occur if compliance is not met.
