Orthopedic Spine and Brain Surgical Assistant

ResponsibilitiesThe Surgical First Assistant plays a critical role in the intra-operative phase, assisting the physician and contributing to the delivery of quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing skilled assistance to the surgeon
- Assisting with individual operating room setup
- Assisting with positioning, prepping, and draping the patient
- Communicating with the surgeon and healthcare team regarding patient condition
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
- Completion of a Certified Surgical First Assistant program
- Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSTFA)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
