Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. We are currently seeking a Production Operator to join our team.

Job Summary

The Production Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks on the assembly line, including affixing foam pieces to component parts, clips, mylar, and cutline seals to plastic parts, and operating ultrasonic welders and plastic grinding machines. The successful candidate will have basic reading, math, and reasoning skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Affix foam pieces to component parts, ensuring proper placement.
  • Affix clips, mylar, and cutline seals to plastic parts, ensuring they are fully affixed and in the correct location.
  • Operate ultrasonic welders and plastic grinding machines.
  • Perform general inspection tasks, take appropriate action to remove deformed product from the line.
  • Monitor all processes related to injection molding, perform adjustments to ensure parts are at standard rates, and inspect molds for correct setup.
  • Pack finished items into totes or cardboard containers, ensuring correct labels are properly placed.
  • Place finished containers in the proper location for pickup.
Requirements
  • Basic reading, math, and reasoning skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow work schedule.
  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
  • Perform repetitive arm/hand motions, reaching, push/pull, use hand tools, grasp, use hands to finger (pinch), twist, handle or feel, bend, lift up to 2 pounds, and reach approximately 5400 times per shift.
  • Lift 8 pounds with arms and hands approximately 180 times per shift.
