Job Responsibilities

• Analyzes project documents and prepares detailed cost estimates.
• Obtains accurate pricing information from databases, contractors, and suppliers.
• Inputs estimate takeoff information into CATO and develops unit cost pricing.
• Collaborates with architects and engineers to understand project scope.
• Develops relationships with project team members and A/E firms.
• Maintains project documents and data library of costs.
• Prepares cost reconciliation between estimates and explains variance cost drivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, plus four years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of CATO, electronic takeoff, and construction cost estimating systems.

Professional Registrations

• A professional designation such as RICS, CCE, CCM, AIA, PE, ASPE, AACEI, CVS, AVS, LEED AP, RA, is preferred.
