Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from surgery to recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the PACU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medications, and other treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or multi-state compact license.
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
