Your Contribution:

As a vital part of our team, you will provide comprehensive analytical support to enhance the Department of Defense's (DoD) strategies against terrorism. Your role will involve conducting critical assessments that inform operational and strategic decisions aimed at mitigating both regional and global terrorism threats. You will play a key role in delivering national watchlisting support, ensuring that our findings assist senior policymakers and international partners in making informed decisions regarding potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly examine DoD datasets to identify potential information related to known or suspected terrorists.
  2. Prioritize and document findings from various intelligence sources as directed by the Government.
  3. Cross-reference suspected individuals with other intelligence resources to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  4. Compile and format nomination reports according to Government specifications, ensuring clarity and correctness in all documentation.
  5. Adhere to the production schedule for Terrorist Identity Nominations (TIN).
  6. Revise and resubmit reports as necessary, preparing them for appropriate dissemination methods.
  7. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members involved in watchlisting tasks.
  8. Engage in meetings and collaborative efforts to support the overarching mission of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
  9. Demonstrate a solid understanding of intelligence community organizations related to counterterrorism.
  10. Exhibit knowledge of terrorist groups, including their leadership, activities, and ideologies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing all-source intelligence analysis, specifically focusing on identifying and nominating individuals for the National Terrorist Watchlisting system. A background in developing recommendations for national security measures and familiarity with DoD datasets is essential. Proficiency in producing analytical reports using relevant tools is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a relevant field, with recent experience preferred.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution is desired. Alternatively, a total of 7 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

Knowledge of analytic standards and the ability to produce formal intelligence assessments and briefings is highly valued.
