Job Title: Activity Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Liberty Cares. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, promoting, and leading individual and group activities that cater to the needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities that align with their interests and abilities.
  • Assist with the maintenance, storage, and use of activity supplies.
  • Collaborate with the activities team to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of our residents.
  • Assist with the set-up and execution of special events and activities.
  • Provide support to residents with admissions assessments, clinical responsibilities, and care plans.
  • Facilitate community interaction programs that promote socialization and engagement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in activities, long-term care, memory care, or assisted living is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with diverse personalities and staff.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL if required.
