Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baler Operator to join our team at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia. As a Baler Operator, you will play a critical role in safely and efficiently baling non-sellable textiles for sale to salvage vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bale salvage textile while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, reporting any safety concerns to leadership.
  • Maximize salvage processing production to limit product backup and meet revenue goals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 Year experience in a related field.
  • No professional certifications are required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment

The associate will work in an environment with frequent exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.). The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
