About the Role
Eckerd Connects is seeking a skilled Career Development Coach to join our team. As a Career Development Coach, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to individuals in their career development journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Outreach: Identify and recruit individuals for our workforce development programs, and establish relationships with employers and community organizations to promote the program and its success.
- Skills Training and Development: Deliver training in software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading, and develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students in meeting program goals.
- Job Development and Placement: Connect with employers and community organizations to market and enrich the program, and assist participants in finding employment and educational opportunities.
- Case Management and Support: Meet with participants regularly to discuss their career goals and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; related bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a career development or workforce development setting.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems. Must have a valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's auto insurance and drive for business purposes.

Eckerd Connects provides workforce innovation and opportunity act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. We provide training services, including occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage for this position is $27.00-$28.00. Eckerd Connects offers a range of benefits, including low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance, 19 days of paid time off in the first year, 11 paid holidays, and a retirement savings plan with employer match up to 5%.
