Job Title: CT Technologist

UNC Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Eden, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to conduct procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  • Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast to patients according to protocols, ensuring safe and proper injection procedures.
  • Transfer images to PACS, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and other relevant systems, verifying and segmenting images as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, creating and keeping documentation of incidents, and precepting new employees and students.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a standard 36-hour workweek. The salary range is $40.09 per hour (hiring range), with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
