Lakeland Community College is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach nursing clinical courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of student performance.
  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of individual teaching assignments, including planning, instruction, and assessment.
  • Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
  • Available for remediation of students as needed.
  • Orient and maintain current knowledge related to clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Develop and post clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
  • Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
  • May teach didactic course content under supervision of lead instructor.
  • Keep lead instructor informed of all student issues and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with teaching experience preferred.

Compensation:

Part-time clinical instructors earn $52.80 per hour. Lakeland Community College offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid leave, professional development opportunities, and more.
