**Job Summary:**
As a Coatings Specialist at Brown & Root, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray machines.
* Prepare surfaces to receive coatings by cleaning dirt, oil, and grease from surfaces to be covered, removing old paint and wall coverings, and filling and smoothing over cracks and holes.
* Identify the materials used to make paint and determine the types of paints required for different materials, such as plaster, wood, brick, and metal.
