You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating safety, external theft, and fraud trends within specific stores. This involves providing in-store response and support focusing on immediate safety concerns, habitual offenders, and high-impact external theft/fraud incidents using company technology (CCTV, Incident Reporting, and AP-related resources).

This role directly teaches and trains Store Leaders and Brand Associates in safe practices for handling safety and external theft events, as well as the use of Company Case Management and Reporting systems. You will report to the on-campus Asset Protection Manager or an Area Asset Protection Manager, regularly interacting with Local Law Enforcement, diversion and outreach programs, and supporting comprehensive cases related to habitual and aggressive offenders.

This role requires developing relationships and influencing local community networks and outreach programs. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing a high level of visible presence to prevent loss and safety issues.
  • Driving a low-risk culture and contributing to shortage reduction efforts by maintaining a visible presence on the sales floor.
  • Maintaining Physical Security of the store and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Supporting in proper handling of escalated customer situations.
  • Supporting the investigative process; case initiation through resolution.
  • Making safe apprehensions per Gap Inc. AP guidelines.
  • Collecting and communicating loss and safety-related intelligence to stores and Asset Protection leaders.
  • Supporting education of store safety standards as they relate to security and safety procedures.

Requirements

This role requires:
  • Maintaining uniform standards, including consistent use of body-worn cameras.
  • Working closely with store leaders and other Asset Protection personnel to ensure all initiatives are compliant with Brand standards while maintaining a strong focus on making Gap Inc. stores the safest place to work and shop.
  • Experience in high-pressure, multitasking environments to drive results, coach, and collaborate.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish effective partnerships.
  • Demonstrating high learning agility, decision quality, and professionalism.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
