Job Title: Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol

Join our team as a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol and contribute to the safety and security of our guests and team members. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing basic security coverage, ensuring the safety of our patrons and team members, and safeguarding the assets of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic security coverage, ensuring the safety of our patrons and team members.
  • Safeguard the assets of the organization, including those of our guests and team members.
  • Promote a friendly and guest-oriented demeanor at all times.
  • Observe and obey all street, lot, and garage traffic regulations.
  • Drive company bicycles in designated routes only.
  • Direct vehicular traffic in self-parking garages, employee parking areas, surface parking lots, and throughout the property.
  • Ensure safety and security of vehicles in lots and garages by reporting suspicious behavior to a Security Supervisor.
  • Keep alert for unauthorized attempts to remove vehicles.
  • Ensure proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino and hotel areas of the complex.
  • Respond to incidents, accidents, and calls for assistance.
  • Provide emergency medical care to the highest degree necessary within allowable limits for the certification held.
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and company/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Control traffic flow throughout the facility as needed.
  • Provide accurate and detailed directions to patrons' destinations.
  • Answer questions regarding hotel services, shows, facilities, and directions.
  • Complete thorough documentation of all medical calls.
  • Complete all required checklists for inventory and inspections of supplies and equipment.
  • Notify a Supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or supplies and make note of supplies that require replenishing.
  • Replace supplies as necessary and report missing supplies to a Supervisor.
  • Disinfect and maintain cleanliness of EMS equipment, supplies, and treatment rooms as per the requirements of daily assignments.
  • Assist in the coordination of emergency situations.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and ride a bicycle for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb steps, respond to emergency situations, and handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and fast-paced situations.
Work Environment:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy.
  • May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.
