Job Overview:
MUSC is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to operate ultrasonic equipment and produce high-quality images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
About the Role:
This position requires operating advanced imaging equipment, performing sonographic examinations, and utilizing expertise in sonography to identify abnormalities and make accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate Ultrasonic Equipment: Produce high-quality images of the body's organs and tissues using state-of-the-art ultrasonic equipment.
2. Perform Sonographic Examinations: Conduct thorough sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
3. Analyzing Images: Utilize expertise in sonography to analyze images and identify abnormalities, making accurate diagnoses.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent experience is required.
2. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible is mandatory.
3. One year experience in performing obstetrical ultrasound procedures is preferred.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Work Environment:
This role requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, and working from elevated areas.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, offering a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
