Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Nurse to join our dynamic Podiatric Medicine & Surgery department at Medical Associates. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting with procedures and x-rays, ensuring top-notch patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary nurse in the department, providing exceptional patient care and support.
  • Assist in procedure and x-rays, collecting pertinent patient health care data, diagnostic testing, treatments, and reviewing medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and others, promoting patient wellness and providing education.
  • Document care provided, including interventions, medication, patient education, and maintaining the integrity of medical records.
  • Facilitate reimbursement of services provided, including referrals and insurance requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, organized, and supplied office environment, ensuring equipment is functioning properly.

Requirements:

  • Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience. CMA, LPN, RN experience preferred, but not required.
  • Education: Certification of Medical Assistant (if not already certified) must be obtained within one year of hire date. Or RN/LPN licensure required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
  • Other Skills: Keyboarding skills and use of electronic equipment, use and operate a wide variety of diagnostic and medical equipment.

Physical Aspects:

This role requires medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds force constantly to move objects.
