About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Float Pool team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine radiographic procedures and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Complete timely quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as warranted
  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Minimum 3 years ARRT(RT) experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Unlimited state license (if applicable), Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
