Rigging and Shipbuilding Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Rigger to join our team at General Dynamics Electric Boat. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for supporting the assembly and disassembly of machinery and equipment on and off the ships, as well as lifting, moving, and positioning ships and shipyard machinery, equipment, structural parts, and other heavy loads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the assembly and disassembly of machinery and equipment on and off the ships
  • Lift, move, and position ships and shipyard machinery, equipment, structural parts, and other heavy loads
  • Rig nuclear components
  • Work under radiological controls and obtain and work with a TLD
  • Provide emergency response to fires and accidents

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work all shifts and perform high work
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous rigging experience
  • Successful completion of the Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative Training Program
