We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Assistant - Bilingual to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will provide administrative support to our staff and clients, ensuring that they receive high-quality services.

Brunswick County Department of Social Services is committed to preserving our resources and enhancing the lives of our community through exceptional service. Our department is responsible for providing social services to our residents, including food assistance, Medicaid, and child support.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities as a Clerical Assistant - Bilingual will include:
  • Providing Spanish/English interpreting and translation services when needed.
  • Assisting with applications and recertifications for Medicaid, Food and Nutrition Services, and Work First.
  • Entering data into NC FAST and documenting management systems.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in clerical-administrative work.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to complete NC FAST Certifications.
