LOCATION: WISCONSIN

JOB TYPE: LOCUM TENENS - Inpatient

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Corrections Psychiatrist will deliver essential medical services to individuals in correctional facilities, ensuring adherence to established healthcare standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commit to a part-time schedule of 16 hours weekly.
  • Administer medical care to inmates, focusing on their psychiatric needs.
  • Oversee and execute treatment plans tailored to the inmate population.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with correctional staff and external healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives and Infection Control Programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active and unrestricted Wisconsin state medical license.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Current DEA and BLS certifications.
  • Covid Vaccination is mandatory.
  • Completion of a signed reference form.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Physician Supervisor, the Corrections Psychiatrist is tasked with providing professional medical services to inmates, aligning with correctional healthcare standards and Bureau of Health Services Policies.
